For instance, a lot of people think that cardio is the best way to lose fat and that by going on a starvation, low fat or low carb diet they are going to drop the fat and get the body they want. <p>Gain Weight The Healthy Way</p>
<p>Most people are abreast of the fact that some people gain weight simpler then others. Depending on numerous factors, such as age, body type, metabolism speed, and daily activity level, you would either hold an more effortless or harder time afterward others gaining weight.</p>
<p>Assuming you want to figure out how to improve weight the smart way, there is a fairly clear formula you can use to gain a good total number of weight at a rational amount of time.</p>
<p>First, there is the most important aspect: diet. I know, surprise surprise, right? Though everybody knows the general theory of how much you eat determines whether you is able to gain, lose, or maintain weight, multiple people don&#8217;t appreciate anything further from that. You have to appreciate how to eat, how much to eat, and how often to eat. Here is a simple formula short of the current you can use to obtain out your daily calorie goal in order to step up weight the good way.</p>
<p>Step 1:</p>
<p>Take your the most recent body weight in pounds (lbs) and multiply by 11.</p>
<p>Example: 150 lbs x 11 = 1,650 calories</p>
<p>Step 2:</p>
<p>Figure out your metabolic factor.</p>
<p>Now, if you are reading this article, I am assuming you want to gain weight and had or presume to experience trouble doing this. For this reason, let&#8217;s be conservative and and use an average metabolic % assuming you have a fast metabolism.</p>
<p>Now take your metabolic % based on your age below:</p>
<p>Metabolic %</p>
<p>Under 30 ages old<br />
Fast Metabolism- 50%</p>
<p>30-40 years old<br />
Fast Metabolism- 45%</p>
<p>Over 40 years old<br />
Fast Metabolism- 40%</p>
<p>Example: 1,650 calories x 50% = 825</p>
<p>So in this example I took the calories needed based on the body weight of 150 pounds, and now we multiply it by the metabolic % and get an additional 825 calories. You want to add these types of calories because even if you relatively much do not anything all day long, your body is still burning calories by keeping your organs working, walking, getting up, etc.</p>
<p>Step 3:</p>
<p>Put it together.</p>
<p>1,650 + 825 = 2,475 calories</p>
<p>This example suggests that a 150 pound person needs approximately 2,475 calories to maintain his/her weight. Now, assuming want to understand how to gain weight the healthy way, you are able to just add 500 calories. An supplementary 500 calories is what is needed to go up at least one pound a week.</p>
<p>The second element has to do with whether or not you want to gain muscle weight. Perform two to the 3 sets of 8 to 15 reps for each exercise, with an emphasis on getting more resilient each week. Perform this workout two to three days a week, providing maximum intensity.</p>
<p>Here is a sample workout utility to gain weight:</p>
<p>Squats: 3 x 12<br />
Bench Press: 3 x 10<br />
Shoulder Press: 2 x 12<br />
T-Bar Rows: 3 x 15<br />
Romanian Deadlifts: 2 x 12</p>
<p>These exercises or ones similar combined will cover every major muscle bunch in your body. Following these two formulas is the best way to learn how to gain weight the healthful way. You don&#8217;t have to take a group of unnecessary supplements, though a protein supplement and/or a meal replacement supplement and a worthy multi-vitamin will not hurt. Follow this program for a while and you will progressively increase in value healthy weight that you can actually keep for as long as you want.</p>

<p>Get Into Shape After 40?!?</p>
<p>So you just turned 40 yesterday or in the last 20 years, and you think it&#8217;s all downhill from here. Actually, I&#8217;m pretty sure everyone thinks that, and assumes that is just the way it is. We&#8217;ve all heard of these &#8220;freaks of nature&#8221; that age 70 climb Mt. Everest, run a marathon, etc.; however, for us average people that&#8217;s just not going to happen. Either that or we are going to hit the lottery, hire some young hot fitness trainer and get a whole bunch of plastic surgery. Getting into shape is no longer possible!</p>
<p>Nine short months ago, that&#8217;s where I was. Since that time, I&#8217;ve accomplished alot, and I&#8217;m not really old &#8211; I&#8217;ll be 44 next month, nor am I as young as everyone seems to think &#8211; which I like. I&#8217;m actually proud of my age. Do people really not like to tell their age because they think they look older than they really are? I&#8217;ve discovered a program that works for me with a lot of variety, a livable diet, and now a lifestyle that is is truly a lifestyle and not a passing fad for me. Mine is P90X, which is one of those infomercials on TV and something that I would have scoffed at a year ago. This one works, but I never tried another, so I can&#8217;t say they don&#8217;t as well.</p>
<p>My point is that getting healthy over 40 is possible. You can be the hot one on the beach with 6 pack abs, or be accused of being 10 years younger than you really are. I actually quit smoking after 30 years of solid tobacco addiction and lost another 20 lbs. With rising medical and life insurance rates it is time to make a change.</p>
<p>My key has been to keep focused on my results, set goals, get involved (I&#8217;m actually a paid fitness coach now) and keep going! I&#8217;m not a high pressure sales person or anything like that, just a fellow mid-lifer that believes in what they are doing and believes that anyone can do it, as long as you are reasonably healthy and ready to stop making excuses.</p>
<p>The premise is very simple. Lean muscle burns fat. Traditional dieting burns muscle and fat, so when the diet stops the weight comes back quicker and goes higher than before the diet started. I was a victim of this yoyo effect. Actually, I&#8217;ve always been proud of my ability to lose a lot of weight in a very short amount of time. Of course, as the clock ticked the metabolism slowed down and you know the story. Now I&#8217;m back playing hockey and the fastest skater on the rink. I&#8217;m driving the golf ball farther. I&#8217;m taking the stairs because they are faster and I&#8217;m not going to be sucking for air at the top or in the middle. Of course everyone is different and my results are outstanding and guess what, I&#8217;m really happy! My wife has been doing the program as well since seeing my results first hand. I&#8217;m not going to claim we have the perfect marriage, and I&#8217;m sure one probably does exist out there, but I will say that she is much happier, healthier, and more even keel since starting exercise. Her mood swings are virtually gone!</p>
<p>The secret to feeling youthful after 40 is exercise!! And, you can do it yourself! There&#8217;s no need for expensive exercise equipment, a personal trainer, or a gym membership that won&#8217;t be used past the first payment. It is time to get into shape or maybe even get back into shape. See my site for more information or find something that works for you, but just do it!</p>
